Initiated over a stop sign violation, the pursuit ended when police used stop sticks to flatten the car's tires, causing a crash and subsequent arrest. In a separate incident in Massachusetts, Richard Gomez, 37, led police on a pursuit reaching speeds up to 110 mph following a speeding and defective equipment violation. Gomez eventually crashed and fled on foot before being arrested and held without bail.
