77-Year-Old Woman Dies, Three Children Injured Rochester Hills Head-On Collision

A fatal head-on collision in Rochester Hills claimed the life of 77-year-old Julianne McClure, who was driving a 2024 Chevrolet Trax southbound on Rochester Road when a 2006 Toyota Highlander, driven by a 31-year-old man from Lincoln Park, crossed the center line and struck her vehicle. McClure was extricated by the Rochester Hills Fire Department and transported to a hospital where she died three days later. Her 15-year-old granddaughter, a front-seat passenger, sustained a broken ankle but was released from the hospital. The Toyota's two back-seat passengers, children aged 7 and 9, were also hospitalized, with their conditions currently unknown, while the Highlander driver was unharmed. Authorities have ruled out alcohol and drugs as factors, and the Oakland County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the cause of the crash. The incident has prompted ongoing inquiries by the Crash Reconstruction Unit to determine why the driver veered into oncoming traffic.
