Police Arrest Michael Schram For Moline Credit Union Robbery

Moline police have arrested Michael John Schram, 41, in connection with the robbery of the Ascentra Credit Union on 7th Street in Moline that occurred just after 5 p.m. on Thursday. Schram was taken into custody early Saturday and is currently held in the Rock Island County Jail without bond, with a first court appearance expected Sunday. The robbery suspect was initially described as a Hispanic male wearing a red baseball cap, gray sweatshirt and sweatpants, and a medical facemask, who passed a note demanding money before fleeing on foot. Police investigations led to Schram through evidence including a search warrant served on his vehicle in Davenport. Authorities have asked the public for help in identifying the suspect before the arrest, offering confidential tip lines and Crime Stoppers contacts. The case remains under active investigation by the Moline Police Department Criminal Investigation Division.
