Disney+ has announced the release of the trailer for its upcoming film 'Out of My Mind', which tells the story of Melody Brooks, a sixth grader with cerebral palsy, who navigates mainstream education despite her challenges as a non-verbal student in a wheelchair. The film, based on Sharon M. Draper’s bestselling novel, features newcomer Phoebe-Rae Taylor as Melody, with Jennifer Aniston voicing her inner thoughts. The narrative highlights Melody's intelligence and quick wit, emphasizing that what she has to express is more significant than her means of communication. Directed by Amber Sealey, the film will premiere on November 22, following its presentation at the Sundance Film Festival. The project has gained support from various organizations, including the disability-led nonprofit RespectAbility, and aligns its release with World Cerebral Palsy Day. The cast also includes actors such as Rosemarie DeWitt, Luke Kirby, and Judith Light.
