Police Probe Gage Park Double Shooting, Bar Attack

Two separate but possibly connected violent incidents occurred on the 5300 block of South Kedzie Avenue in Chicago's Gage Park on Sunday night. Around 10 p.m., police discovered two people dead inside an apartment: a 57-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head and a 64-year-old woman with multiple injuries. Minutes later, a 57-year-old man attacked a woman with a knife in a nearby bar, leaving her with multiple lacerations; she was hospitalized in good condition. The assailant, who also had a gun, was taken into custody, but no arrests have been made regarding the double homicide. Police investigations are ongoing to determine any potential connection between the incidents.
