Questlove to Direct Earth, Wind & Fire Documentary

Questlove, the Grammy and Oscar-winning filmmaker, has announced he will direct a documentary about the legendary band Earth, Wind & Fire, set to premiere in 2025. He described the project as the 'definitive story' of the band that transformed music and culture, expressing his personal connection to their legacy through his journey of self-discovery. The documentary will include exclusive access to the band's archives and interviews, with the support of the band's estate and members Philip Bailey, Verdine White, and Ralph Johnson. Earth, Wind & Fire, known for hits like 'September' and 'Shining Star', has sold over 90 million albums and won multiple Grammy awards. The film will be produced by a collaboration of several entertainment companies, including RadicalMedia and Kinfolk Management + Media, with financial backing from Fifth Season. Questlove hopes to convey the band's essence of joy, struggle, and resilience through this film.
