Kravitz Charged in Fatal 13-Vehicle Drug-Influenced Crash

Stephen Kravitz, 53, has been charged with third-degree murder and multiple other offenses after causing a fatal 13-vehicle crash on Route 30 in York County on April 16, 2024. Kravitz, under the influence of prescription drugs, was driving a truck at 63 mph in a 40-mph zone when he collided with vehicles stopped at a red light, resulting in the deaths of two men and injuring several others. The crash involved a chain reaction that severely impacted multiple vehicles. Blood tests confirmed Kravitz had drugs like Clonazepam and Alprazolam in his system, impairing his driving abilities. Despite his denial of any distractions or alcohol consumption, data from the truck's Event Control Module and witness accounts contradicted his statement. Kravitz is currently held in York County Prison without bail.
