Former New Hampshire First Lady Nancy Sununu Dies
Nancy Sununu, former first lady of New Hampshire and matriarch of a prominent political family, died at the age of 85 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Wife of John H. Sununu and mother of current Governor Chris Sununu and former U.S. Senator John E. Sununu, Nancy was instrumental in both her husband's career and her own public service. Nancy also dedicated herself to education and philanthropy, including renovating the historic governor’s mansion and serving on the board of Rivier University. Her passing has prompted condolences from across the political spectrum, highlighting her significant impact on the state. She is survived by her husband, eight children, and sixteen grandchildren.
