The City of Baltimore and the owners of the cargo ship Dali reached an agreement allowing some crew members to return home while ensuring they can still be questioned in the ongoing investigation into the March 26 crash into the Francis Scott Key Bridge, which killed six construction workers. Initially, Baltimore sought to block the crew's departure to ensure their availability for depositions. Under the agreement, the ship's owner, Grace Ocean Private Ltd., and managing company, Synergy Marine Group, guarantee that crew members will be available for questioning within 30 days of a request. The agreement was confirmed by U.S. District Judge James K. Bredar. Some crew members will remain in Baltimore to assist with the litigation process, which could last over a year. The ship's move to Norfolk, Virginia, has been postponed to next week.
