BYD Unveils 'God's Eye' Driving System for EVs

BYD, a leading Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, has announced the launch of its new advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) called 'God's Eye'. This system aims to make autonomous driving affordable and accessible, with plans to equip at least 21 models, including the budget-friendly Seagull hatchback, priced at 69,800 yuan (US$9,554). The system is available in three variants and integrates technologies like LiDAR sensors, cameras, and radars to enhance intelligent driving capabilities. BYD's initiative is part of a broader industry trend in China, where it's projected that two-thirds of national sales in 2025 will feature autonomous driving capabilities. The move intensifies competition in the EV market, with BYD aiming to lower costs and increase adoption of smart driving features.
