Hocus Pocus 3 Script Done; Fletcher, Cast Expected

Bette Midler said she has read a completed script for Hocus Pocus 3 and found “a lot of it was brilliant.” Anne Fletcher is expected to return to direct, Hocus Pocus 2 writer Jen D’Angelo is attached, and original co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy are expected to reprise their Sanderson roles. Producers are still ironing out logistics — including location, budget and other financial details — so filming has not yet begun. The third film was confirmed to be in development after Hocus Pocus 2’s strong streaming debut, which logged 2.7 billion minutes viewed across its opening weekend on Disney+, and Sean Bailey announced the project in 2023. Midler said the script will be reworked and has urged Disney to move quickly, though Parker previously said there were no new developments beyond the cast's interest.
