Tucson Authorities Search Missing Vulnerable Elderly Men

The Tucson Police Department and Pima County Sheriff's Department are actively engaged in cases involving missing vulnerable adults. Teodoro Sanchez, a 79-year-old man, has been missing since early August near East 36th Street and Country Club Road in Tucson; a Silver Alert has been issued and community members are assisting in the search. Sanchez is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall with grey hair and brown eyes, often wearing a dark-colored beanie and possibly carrying a flip-style cell phone. Meanwhile, 76-year-old Robert Lyngard was reported missing after leaving his home in the Avra Valley area for a walk; he was found deceased in the desert near Musket Road and Jaguar Lane with no signs of foul play. Law enforcement agencies including the PCSD Air Unit, Oro Valley Police Department, and Arizona Department of Public Safety Air Unit participated in the search efforts.
