San Jose police officer stabbed during suspect arrest

A San Jose police officer was stabbed in the arm while attempting to take a suspect into custody after responding to a report of the suspect brandishing a machete at an armed security guard. The incident occurred around 9:49 a.m. near Coleman Avenue and Taylor Street. The suspect discarded the machete and fled before being confronted by police, at which point the stabbing took place.
