Olympic Gold Medalist Kyle Snyder Arrested in Ohio Prostitution Sting

Kyle Snyder, a 29-year-old Olympic gold medalist and former NCAA wrestling champion, was arrested in a prostitution sting conducted by Columbus Police in Ohio, where he was one of 16 men charged. Snyder allegedly responded to a fake online ad, arranged to meet an undercover officer at a hotel, and offered to pay cash for oral sex before being arrested at the scene. Known for winning gold at the 2016 Rio Olympics as the youngest American wrestler to do so, Snyder also earned a silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and placed fifth at the 2024 Paris Olympics. He was released after his arrest and is scheduled to appear in court on May 19. Prior to the arrest, Snyder had recently signed with the Real American Wrestling promotion and has been active in wrestling competitions, with no public comment from him or his wife regarding the charges. The sting was part of an operation by the Columbus Police and Community Together (PACT) unit targeting prostitution-related offenses.
