Sleater-Kinney Announces Little Rope Deluxe Album

Sleater-Kinney has announced the release of 'Little Rope Deluxe,' set for October 4, which will feature a new track titled 'Here Today,' alongside two additional new songs and live versions from their earlier album, 'Little Rope.' The song 'Here Today' reflects on life's brevity and is accompanied by a black-and-white video created with activist collective In Decline, showcasing the lyrics through guerrilla projections across Los Angeles. The deluxe edition builds on the band's previous work, being their second album without drummer Janet Weiss, and follows their earlier EP, 'Frayed Rope Sessions.' Carrie Brownstein emphasized the album's significance as a reflection of personal tragedy and the search for meaning. The release comes approximately six months after the original album, which was well-received and highlighted in Rolling Stone's best albums of the year list. Fans can look forward to a combination of new and live material, continuing the band's evolution.
