Doucoure Criticizes Lampard's Everton Tenure

The midfielder felt that Lampard's decision not to play him was a mistake, as he became a key player under successor Sean Dyche, helping to save Everton from relegation. Despite initial prominence in Lampard's plans, Doucoure was benched at the start of the 2023-24 season and did not feature regularly until Lampard's departure. Doucoure expressed his frustration over the lack of communication and trust from Lampard, which nearly led him to leave the club. Since then, Doucoure has signed a contract extension with Everton, while Lampard has moved on to manage Coventry City in the Championship.
