Lille Midfielder Nabil Bentaleb Hospitalized in France

Algerian international and Lille midfielder Nabil Bentaleb has been hospitalized in France after falling ill on Tuesday evening. The 29-year-old, who began his career at Tottenham and has also played for Schalke and Newcastle, was immediately taken to Lille University Hospital. Lille confirmed the news, stating they are providing full support to Bentaleb and called for respect for his privacy. Messages of support have poured in from his former clubs, teammates, and the Algerian Football Federation, all wishing him a speedy recovery. Bentaleb has made 34 appearances for Lille since joining from Angers last year and has 52 caps for Algeria.
