Two Dead, One Critical After Streamwood Illinois House Fire

A house fire in Streamwood, Illinois, early Tuesday morning resulted in two deaths and one person critically injured. The fire, originating in the basement of a two-story home on North Green Meadows Boulevard, prompted a multi-departmental emergency response involving numerous suburban fire and rescue units. Firefighters rescued three residents from the home, but resuscitation efforts failed for two individuals; the third was transported to a hospital in critical condition. Authorities do not currently consider the fire suspicious, though the cause remains under investigation with assistance from the Illinois State Fire Marshal.
