Teal Health Secures $10 Million for At-Home Cervical Cancer Screening

Teal Health, a women’s health company, has secured an additional $10 million in seed funding, bringing its total funding to $23 million. This investment, led by Emerson Collective and Forerunner, will support the launch of the Teal Wand, an at-home cervical cancer screening device currently under FDA review. Teal Health aims to address the significant gap in cervical cancer screening, noting that 1 in 4 eligible women do not get screened due to accessibility issues and discomfort with traditional methods. The company emphasizes that its device is designed to be effective and user-friendly, significantly improving women's health outcomes. Additionally, Teal Health is part of a collaboration aiming to eliminate cervical cancer as a public health concern in the U.S. The funding will help accelerate product development and commercialization plans as the company prepares for a market launch.
