Packers Sign Linebacker Jamin Davis to Practice Squad

The Green Bay Packers have signed linebacker Jamin Davis to their practice squad, releasing Chris Russell in the process. Davis, a former first-round draft pick (19th overall) by the Washington Commanders in 2021, had a promising start to his career but struggled this season after being moved to edge rusher under a new coaching regime. He was released by the Commanders following five games in 2024, during which he recorded 13 tackles. Over his career, Davis has made 282 tackles and seven sacks over 50 games. The Packers are hoping to rejuvenate his career, moving him back to his original position of linebacker. Davis brings elite athleticism to the team and will work under new defensive coaches in Green Bay.
