Monroe County Launches ROC-PARKS at Airport

Monroe County has unveiled ROC-PARKS, a new parking guidance system at the Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport, aimed at streamlining the parking experience for travelers. This system uses colored lights to indicate parking availability: red for occupied spots, green for free spaces, blue for handicapped spots, and purple for reserved areas. Additionally, illuminated signs display real-time parking availability on each garage floor, and travelers can reserve parking in advance for a small surcharge. Meanwhile, San Antonio International Airport has introduced an AI-driven service that allows passengers to reserve parking spots, pay via an app, and check in bags without visiting airline counters. Austin-Bergstrom International Airport has also enhanced its parking facilities, featuring smart guidance systems and budget-friendly options. These developments reflect a broader trend in airport services to improve customer experience through technology.
