Amber Waterman Sentenced for Kidnapping and Murder

Amber Waterman, a 44-year-old woman from Missouri, has been sentenced to two consecutive life sentences for the kidnapping and murder of pregnant Arkansas woman Ashley Bush and her unborn child, Valkyrie Willis. Waterman lured Bush under the guise of a fake job offer via Facebook, leading to a meeting where she later abducted Bush. Upon investigation, it was revealed that Waterman had killed Bush to claim her unborn child as her own. Following a guilty plea to charges of kidnapping resulting in death and causing the death of a child in utero, Waterman was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Stephen R. Bough. Her husband, Jamie Waterman, has also pleaded guilty to being an accessory after the fact to the crimes. Relatives of Bush expressed their outrage during the sentencing, describing Waterman in harsh terms.
