Travellers International Takes Control of $1.3B Westside City Casino Resort

Travellers International Hotel Group Inc., led by billionaire Kevin Tan and part of Andrew Tan's Alliance Global Group, has taken operational control of the $1.25 billion Westside Integrated Resort project in Manila's Entertainment City to expedite its completion. The project, originally scheduled to open in 2022 and later December 2025, has been delayed with the new opening date pushed to the third quarter of 2026. Under a strategic working agreement, Suntrust Resort Holdings, the Philippine unit of Hong Kong’s LET Group, retains a 20% indirect interest in the newly formed Entertainment City Resorts Corp. (ECRC), which now assumes all rights and obligations related to the project. The Westside Integrated Resort will feature a five-star hotel with over 2,500 rooms, a large casino with more than 2,000 gaming tables and slot machines, a shopping mall, and a theater complex dubbed the "Broadway of the Philippines," highlighting Philippine performing arts. Travellers aims to create a world-class entertainment and tourism hub, reinforcing its commitment to Filipino talent and excellence.
