Multiple Orchestras Host Free Outdoor Concerts in U.S. Cities

Several free outdoor music events are set to take place in September 2025, showcasing diverse musical styles and supporting community causes. The Afro Peruvian Jazz Orchestra, a GRAMMY-nominated 17-piece ensemble blending jazz with traditional Peruvian rhythms, will perform on September 20 at Ball State University's Brown Family Amphitheater as part of the Muncie Three Trails Music Series, with the Ball State University Jazz Ensemble opening the show. The Immaculata Symphony will hold its season-opening concert "The Great Outdoors" on September 28, featuring classical works conducted by Dr. Joseph Gehring, with donations accepted to support future programs. On September 19, the Steve Rudolph Trio will perform at the Harrisburg Beach Club to raise funds for the Pride of the Susquehanna riverboat, which has been grounded due to repairs and low river levels. Additionally, the Western Piedmont Symphony will present "Side/Show" on September 18 in downtown Hickory, featuring performances from its Maestro’s Quartet and other ensembles as part of the Downtown Hickory Art Crawl. These events highlight the vibrant musical culture and community engagement in various regions.
