Longmont Sugar Mill Fire Monitored Amid Safety Concerns

A fire broke out at the abandoned Sugar Mill factory near Longmont, Colorado, just after midnight on March 25, 2025. The cause of the current fire remains under investigation, and Sugar Mill Road is closed, with authorities urging the public to stay away from the area. The property has been closed to the public since 1977 due to health and safety warnings, but still serves as a storage site for the Great Western Sugar Company.
