Peter Sohn to Direct Incredibles 3 for Pixar

Pixar has confirmed Peter Sohn will direct Incredibles 3, marking the first time Brad Bird will not direct the franchise. Bird, writer and director of the previous two films, will remain involved as screenwriter and producer alongside co-producer Dana Murray. His departure as director is due to commitments to other projects, including Ray Gunn and 1906, but he and Chief Creative Officer Pete Docter selected Sohn, a longtime Pixar veteran, to lead the film. The story will continue to follow the Parr family—Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, and their superpowered children. The original voice cast, including Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Samuel L. Jackson, and Sarah Vowell, is expected to return. No release date or plot details have been announced.
