The new owner, an investor from Los Gatos, plans to renovate the 2,373-square-foot home, replicating the original interior design seen in the 1982 horror classic, but guests will have to wait until next Halloween season for bookings. The property, which features four bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, a swimming pool, and a jacuzzi, has been described as a warm and inviting space, despite its film history. The house's sale, the first in 45 years, generated significant interest, with buyers required to be pre-approved for private tours. While the new owner aims for perfection in renovations, there is no specific date for when the Airbnb will open. The house's transformation is part of a growing trend in experiential rentals tied to film and pop culture.
