Siblings Honored for Saving Mother's Life
Oliver and Arianna Liddle, aged 11 and 9, respectively, saved their mother, Donna Liddle, during a life-threatening incident when she suffered a cardiac arrest at home in Aberdeen. After finding her unresponsive, Arianna quickly called 999 while Oliver attempted to put their mother in the recovery position. Emergency services arrived within six minutes, and Donna was treated with CPR and defibrillation, ultimately spending 15 nights in the hospital for recovery. The siblings were honored with certificates and SAS teddies for their bravery during this traumatic event. Donna expressed immense pride in her children, acknowledging their actions in a situation that many adults would find overwhelming. She is now fundraising for the NHS Grampian Charity’s Cardiology Fund to support heart health initiatives.
