Teen Sentenced for Stabbing Aunt While Driving

D'Andre Jennings, a 15-year-old from Lancaster County, was sentenced to two and a half to six years in state prison for stabbing his aunt in the head while she was driving. The incident occurred on February 2, 2024, as Jennings was seated in the back seat and suddenly attacked his aunt without apparent reason. He later claimed to have suffered a panic attack, 'saw red,' and blacked out, waking up to find the knife in his hand. His aunt, who survived the attack, managed to stop the car safely despite swerving into oncoming traffic. Following the stabbing, Jennings attempted to flee but was arrested nearby. He pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, possession of an instrument of crime, and recklessly endangering another person.
