Five Men Jailed for Kidnap, Attack in Dukinfield Tameside

Five men were jailed for their roles in the kidnapping and brutal assault of a man in Dukinfield, Tameside, in January 2024. The victim was forcibly bundled into a silver BMW, held for approximately 15 minutes while repeatedly assaulted by the group, and later taken to a property in South Manchester where he was further attacked and threatened with a knife. Police quickly identified and stopped the vehicle about 90 minutes after the incident, finding blood on the suspects' clothing and weapons including rings resembling pointed weapons, a lock knife, a metal bar, and nearly 200 grams of cocaine inside the car. The men received sentences ranging from just over two years to eight and a half years at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court after pleading guilty. Authorities described the men as dangerous and condemned the violence, emphasizing the severity of the victim’s injuries that required hospital treatment. The sentences reflect both the violent nature of the crime and additional offenses linked to some of the defendants.
