Stuart Worby Found Guilty of Miscarriage Drugging

Stuart Worby, 40, was found guilty by Norwich Crown Court of forcing a woman to suffer a miscarriage at 15 weeks pregnant by drugging her with abortion medication, which he administered without her knowledge or consent. The court heard that Worby crushed mifepristone and misoprostol pills into a drink and later inserted one of the drugs during a sexual assault, all while refusing to take the victim to the hospital for three hours as she experienced severe pain. Prosecutor Edmund Vickers described Worby's actions as 'cold, callous and calculating,' and the victim discovered incriminating messages on Worby's phone indicating the miscarriage was progressing. Worby's co-defendant, Wayne Finney, was found not guilty of encouraging the crime, while Finney's girlfriend, Nueza Cepeda, pleaded guilty to procuring the abortion drugs. Medical evidence confirmed traces of the abortion medication in the victim's blood and on foetal tissue, underscoring the severity of the crime.
