Ukraine, Russia Prepare for Indirect Ceasefire Negotiations in Saudi Arabia

Negotiators from Ukraine and Russia are set to arrive in Saudi Arabia for US-mediated ceasefire talks, though they will not meet face-to-face, indicating ongoing tensions between the two nations. The discussions will focus on a proposed ceasefire in the Black Sea and a partial abandonment of attacks on energy infrastructure, as stated by Russian foreign policy aide Yuri Ushakov. Ukrainian officials have expressed support for a comprehensive ceasefire, while Moscow has only agreed to a limited cessation of hostilities. The talks, described as 'shuttle diplomacy,' will involve intermediaries relaying messages between the two sides.
