The match featured technical falls from notable wrestlers including Carter Starocci and Levi Haines, and a fall from heavyweight Greg Kerkvliet. Freshman Luke Lilledahl won by forfeit at 125 pounds, while sophomore Braeden Davis, competing at a new weight of 133, secured a 7-5 victory despite tweaking his knee during the bout. Coach Cael Sanderson noted the importance of gaining experience for less seasoned wrestlers. The victory comes after four Penn State wrestlers excelled at the NWCA All-Star Classic, contributing to the team's strong start to the season.
