Multiple bridge closures and construction projects are happening across the United States, affecting both vehicular and bicycle traffic. The Oliver Bridge over the St. Louis River will close daily from September 9-13 for inspection. In Wichita, maintenance on the bridge over Interstate 135 will close it until November. New Orleans' Judge Seeber Bridge is temporarily closed for emergency electrical repairs, expected to reopen by September 6. Omaha’s Market-to-Midtown Bikeway has closed for streetcar construction, with a new protected path expected by 2028. Similarly, Kansas City's Grand Boulevard Bridge will close for two months starting September 9 for streetcar expansion. The Mile Long Bridge over Saylorville Lake in Polk City will also close temporarily for maintenance on September 9.
