Erika Jayne Faces $300K Lawsuit by Designers, Nears Default Judgment

Erika Jayne, the star of 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,' is on the brink of losing a $300,000 lawsuit filed by designer Marco Morante in Florida, as her attorney, Jim Wilkes, failed to appear at a crucial court hearing and improperly filed a motion to dismiss the case. Morante's lawsuit accuses Jayne and her assistants of tortious interference, defamation, and other claims, following her allegations that the costume business Marco Marco illegally charged her American Express card for nearly $900,000. In a separate lawsuit in California, Christopher Psaila, another designer, has accused Jayne of extortion related to the same charges and is seeking damages for malicious prosecution. Legal expert Ronald Richards has indicated that the court may grant a default judgment against Jayne due to her lawyer's missteps, which could result in an immediate financial loss for her. This legal turmoil comes amidst her ongoing battles linked to her estranged husband, Thomas Girardi's, fraudulent activities. Jayne and her team have denied any wrongdoing in both cases.
