Flyers Reassign Jett Luchanko to Guelph Storm

The Philadelphia Flyers reassigned 19-year-old top prospect Jett Luchanko to the OHL’s Guelph Storm after a four-game NHL cameo to start the 2025–26 season. In the NHL he averaged 8:58 of ice time, recorded no points, one shot and a minus-3 rating while often skating on the fourth line and had been a healthy scratch multiple times. The club could have kept him for up to nine games without burning the first year of his entry-level contract. He returns to Guelph with strong junior credentials (21 goals, 56 points last season) and some AHL experience with Lehigh Valley, and is considered likely to be in contention for Team Canada at the upcoming IIHF World Junior Championship. Flyers staff say he needs to get stronger, shoot more and play a harder, more confident game after missing development and rookie camps with a groin issue.
