Kimberly-Clark Appoints Former Nestlé Canada CEO John Carmichael President North America

Kimberly-Clark has appointed John Carmichael, former president and CEO of Nestlé Canada, as its new president for North America, effective September 15, 2025. Carmichael will oversee the company's personal care, family care, and professional businesses across the U.S. and Canada, reporting to Kimberly-Clark CEO Russ Torres. With over 30 years of experience at Nestlé, Carmichael has a strong track record of accelerating growth, transforming businesses, and cultivating high-performance cultures, which aligns with Kimberly-Clark's Powering Care strategy. He succeeds interim president Kurt Laufer, who will return to his previous role as president of U.S. Consumer Sales. Kimberly-Clark, known for brands like Huggies and Kleenex, is undertaking its largest North American investment in three decades and aims to build on its purpose-driven mission of delivering better care for a better world.
