Chicago Sleep Out Raises Funds for Homeless Youth

Waypoint has announced its 11th annual SleepOut event on March 21, 2025, aimed at raising awareness and funds for youth homelessness in New Hampshire, where an estimated 15,000 young people experience homelessness annually. The event encourages participants to spend the night outside in solidarity with these youths, emphasizing the preventable nature of youth homelessness and the need for safe shelter. Similarly, Covenant House Illinois and Covenant House Michigan have also hosted their annual Sleep Out events, where volunteers endure cold conditions to raise money and awareness for homeless young individuals. Covenant House Illinois aims to raise $650,000 to support its services for young adults, while COTS in Michigan advocates for similar causes. Both organizations highlight the impact of homelessness on youth, particularly among marginalized groups, urging community engagement and support.
