Severe rainfall across northern India has led to multiple house collapses, resulting in at least six fatalities and numerous injuries. In Uttar Pradesh, incidents included the tragic deaths of an 11-year-old boy and two children, aged 2 and 4, after their houses collapsed while they were sleeping. Additionally, a 34-year-old man and his son died in Kheri, and a 42-year-old man was killed in Jatwara village when his kutcha house fell. Meanwhile, in Delhi's Lakshmi Garden Colony, a house with weak structural integrity collapsed, killing 52-year-old Sundri Devi and injuring her daughters. In Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka, a house was damaged, but fortunately, no casualties were reported; however, the heavy rains have adversely affected local agriculture. Authorities are assessing damages and have promised compensation to affected families.
