Two Killed in Methuen Interstate 495 Crash

A serious crash on Interstate 495 northbound in Methuen, Massachusetts, early Saturday morning resulted in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to two others. The incident occurred around 6 a.m. when a pickup truck crashed into a tree, leading to multiple occupants being trapped inside. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while another succumbed to their injuries at Lawrence General Hospital. Massachusetts State Police are investigating the crash and believe a second driver may have fled the scene, as no other vehicles were found. All lanes of I-495 North were temporarily shut down to facilitate emergency services. The identities of the victims have not yet been released as authorities continue their investigation.
