The academy, supported by a £21.1 million Towns Fund and a grant from the Premier League, FA, and Football Foundation, will provide education and football pathways for students aged 16 and above, including higher education options launching in 2025. Gerrard emphasized that the academy's facilities are on par with Premier League standards and praised the partnership with Broxtowe Borough Council, highlighting its importance for local youth development.
