Singapore Couple Jailed for Livestreaming Obscene Acts in Public

Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lan, 31, and her husband Adrian Ching Kah Siang, 36, were sentenced to three weeks in jail for performing obscene acts while livestreaming from a Housing Board void deck in Boon Lay, Singapore. On February 20, they pleaded guilty to charges stemming from an incident on September 27, 2024, where Lan, dressed in a translucent outfit, engaged in lewd behavior while her husband acted as a lookout. Members of the public reported their activities to the police, prompting an investigation. The prosecution highlighted that the acts took place in a visible location with significant pedestrian traffic during a workday, raising concerns about the potential exposure to children. The couple faced additional charges related to public nudity, but these were taken into consideration during sentencing. Despite initially denying the nature of her actions, Lan later admitted to performing an obscene act in public.
