King County Assessor Faces Stalking Allegations, Bail Set

King County Assessor John Wilson, a candidate for King County Executive, was arrested for allegedly stalking his former partner Lee Keller and violating a domestic violence protection order that Keller obtained in May. Keller reported escalating behavior including repeated drive-bys, calls, voicemails, and in-person confrontations, despite her requests for no contact. Wilson has denied the allegations and claims the accusations are politically motivated. He waived his right to appear at his bail hearing, resulting in a $50,000 bail, a no-contact order, and a requirement to surrender any weapons. The King County Council issued a unanimous vote of no confidence in Wilson due to the ongoing allegations. A follow-up court hearing will determine whether formal charges will be filed.
