Zackery Dean Hinkle, a 22-year-old resident of Irvine, has been arrested on murder charges for allegedly fatally stabbing his 53-year-old roommate, Terry Rahmatulla, following a series of escalating arguments. The incident occurred early Tuesday morning after Hinkle called police to report the altercation. Upon arrival, officers found Rahmatulla wounded and attempted life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The police indicated that the confrontation had been building over several days, culminating in physical violence that led to the stabbing. Other roommates in the home were unharmed during the incident. The Irvine Police Department is continuing its investigation and has invited the community to provide any relevant information.
