Naga Munchetty warns of scammers spreading fake nude photos online

She described the images as 'crudely mocked-up' and emphasized that they were part of a scheme to trick users into providing money. Munchetty investigated the matter with her BBC 5 Live team and found that the ads linked to a counterfeit BBC News site designed to defraud victims, featuring a fabricated story about her being detained by the government after a controversial interview. Additionally, wildlife presenter Chris Packham shared similar experiences, highlighting the exploitation of public figures by scammers. While the BBC's legal department managed to take down some of these fraudulent websites, Munchetty warned that new ones are likely to emerge. She urged people to be cautious and skeptical about the information they encounter online, stressing the importance of not believing everything they read.
