Man Charged in Fatal Hit-and-Run on I-94

A 46-year-old man, Eric Christopher Rios, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with the Christmas Day shooting death of Anthony DeCarlo Campbell in Burlington, Iowa. Meanwhile, in Wisconsin, a 39-year-old man, Christopher Sponholz, faces felony charges for a hit-and-run that killed 40-year-old tow truck operator Hussain Farhat as he assisted a disabled vehicle on Christmas Eve. Sponholz allegedly struck Farhat while driving at high speed and fled the scene but later turned himself in after authorities received a tip about his vehicle. In a separate incident, a person of interest has been detained regarding a December hit-and-run that resulted in the death of 46-year-old Phillip D. Castleberry in Kansas City. Castleberry was critically injured after being hit by a vehicle that fled the scene and succumbed to his injuries days later.
