Texas Rapper Tay-K Convicted of Murder Again

Taymor McIntyre, known as rapper Tay-K, was convicted of murder for a second time on April 14, 2025, for fatally shooting photographer Mark Anthony Saldivar in 2017. The jury found him guilty of murder but not guilty of capital murder, which would have resulted in a life sentence without parole. Prosecutors argued that McIntyre shot Saldivar during an attempted robbery after picking him up for a photoshoot. McIntyre's defense criticized the investigation, claiming it relied too heavily on witness statements. He was already serving a 55-year sentence for a previous murder conviction related to a 2016 home invasion. McIntyre faces a sentencing phase where he could receive a sentence ranging from five to 99 years in prison.
