Texas to Headline Edinburgh Hogmanay 2024

The Scottish band Texas is set to headline Edinburgh's Hogmanay celebrations for a record third time on December 31, 2024, marking their first appearance at the event in nearly 20 years. Lead singer Sharleen Spiteri announced the news during a sold-out concert at the Hydro in Glasgow. The event will also feature special guest Callum Beattie and will be hosted by comedian Susie McCabe, promising a vibrant New Year celebration with an expected attendance of around 45,000 people. Texas, known for hits like 'I Don't Want A Lover' and 'Say What You Want', has sold over 40 million records worldwide. City of Edinburgh Council's culture convener Val Walker emphasized the global reputation of the Hogmanay celebration, highlighting the excitement of Texas's return.
