Ohio Repairman Pleads Guilty to Downloading Customers' Nude Photos

Calvin Jordan, a 27-year-old cellphone repairman from Gallipolis, Ohio, pleaded guilty to a 40-count indictment for downloading nude photos from customers' phones, including minors aged 14 to 17. His charges include three counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor and 36 counts of unauthorized use of computer, cable or telecommunications property. The crimes occurred while he was employed at Direct Computing Solutions between December 2021 and April 2022, affecting over 40 customers. Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost emphasized the seriousness of violating customer privacy, especially concerning minors. Jordan's sentencing is set for March 31, and he will be required to register as a Tier II sex offender. The case highlights the importance of safeguarding personal data in service industries.
