A violent clash between Ethiopian and Kenyan fishermen along the Kenya-Ethiopia border has resulted in the deaths of 13 Ethiopians and left 22 Kenyans missing. The altercation, which occurred at Lopeimukat and Natira, reportedly stemmed from disputes over stolen fishing nets and escalated into gunfire. In addition to the fatalities, 15 boats were reported stolen, and six Ethiopian fishermen were rescued following the incident. Kenyan authorities have deployed additional security forces to the area and are working with Ethiopian officials to restore peace.
